HypnoFugue: 13 Words
“Fugue” has two definitions:
1. Music An imitative polyphonic composition in which a theme or themes are stated successively in all of the voices of the contrapuntal structure.
2. Psychiatry A pathological amnesiac condition during which one is apparently conscious of one’s actions but has no recollection of them after returning to a normal state. This condition, usually resulting from severe mental stress, may persist for as long as several months.
This recording artistically exploits both meanings of the the word “fugue” in a hypnotic context with an intense exploration of words such as obedience, arousal, submission, release, control, relaxation, hypnosis, surrender, etc. wound in various counterpointing loops of syncopated madness. A musical fugue is imitated using various subliminal loops that counterpoint a main theme exposing the 13 words. The result is an artistic and enchanting back-to-basics session that will draw you in from multiple directions throughout the recording!
Also includes another form of intense play… What was the other definition again?
